What Is Car ECU?

The ECM is an electrical computer which used in present day automotive's to maneuver its computerized modules. Reading data from sensors and transmitting output to digital units, the auto's computer control the appropriate functioning of the automobile.
The vehicle's computer collect inputs from several digital units in the automobile such as the camshaft and crankshaft sensors to cleverly compute information such as intake, injection system, cooling system and some other internal components to assest and maneuver the operating working state of the engine, transmission system like the traction control (ABS), the body functions, the fluid flow and so on.
A common example is the speed sensor located on the wheel which examine the car speed and send the information to the automobile computer system. This way, instead of sending information to multiple modules from one detector, the information is being distributed by the automobile computer system to all the wired units that use this information like the speedometer, ABS, suspension system and so on.

A car that employ motor vehicle computer system will also outfit OnBoard Diagnostics (OBD) interface to enable officials or driver to connect diagnostics computer if you wish to check the vehicle computer module state.
